I have found a topic that explains how to resize a label text box, and am grateful to have that control, how ever, in my opinion the initial size of the the box extends way to far from the edge of the text. It is about two full characters. This becomes an issue when I want to add fill to the box for readability, and also want to minimize blocking out portions of a drawing…

Is there a way to set the label text box default size?

Is there a way to set the label text box default size?

No.

But as you no doubt know, you have to resize the label text box manually.

We all have our own presentation style – but for me – if annotation is getting in the way of linework, I need to rethink how much information I need to convey on the sheet or be working at a larger scale.
