Imperial or Metric?

Obviously we Brits have this whole question sewn up.

In the architectural world, we use the metric system. Much simpler with scales, etc.

In the real world, the average Brit could tell you how many miles to his nearest town but not in kilometres. Also, he will likely know his height and weight in imperial measures. But if he pays for something, it’s back to metric. This applies even to generations born after we went metric the other day (well, 1971 to be precise - early days).

If asked whether we have gone metric yet, you might be met with the response “Dog knows”.
