Because your model is so small sketchup won’t let you use the default 12 segments. Change to 6 and it will work. Or scale up your model, or use the Dave Method.
Also your model has a variety of stuff scattered at a great distance from the origin, a couple of hinges in two different direction and 40+ stay edges way out there somewhere. If you sort those out you’ll avoid clipping and navigation issues.
