How to close this weird shape for 3d printing

Hi, just as the title says, I’m trying to close this thing but I just find it so difficult. The building in question is a department store with curved metallic surface surrounding it. I made it using curviloft, but now that I’m planning how to model the building to 3d printing I discovered that I have to convert the curve structure to a solid. So, I don’t even know how to approach the problem. Can anybody give me any advice?

Thiis section wouldn’t be 3D printable because it isn’t a closed volume.

Is it OK to cut off the bottom of the thing so it’s flush with the bottom of the inner volume?

Yeah, thah would be right

You can use curviloft to close the volume and then use outershell to combine the two, there nears to be some decisions made around the bottom edge, but I’ll leave you with Dave as I have no time today.

You should use @Box’s suggestion. It would likely be easier. I went through and filled in things manually because it was pretty rough.

Thank you so much, both of you! Both options worked for me! :folded_hands:
