Experiment #5 : The Stretch Tool

I’m pleased to propose you to test the new Stretch Tool in the current LAB version of OpenCutList.

Stretch Tool

This tool offers three useful features:

  • The ability to define as many cutting planes as needed
  • Maintaining similar components definitions after stretching
  • Moving the origin of each component
  • Moving snaps

Thank you in advance for your feedback!

New in the latest LAB version: you can now center the stretch!

Experiment #6 : The Sheared Pull

Today I suggest you try the sheared pull. In the draw tool, when you pull, you can press the arrow keys (←↑→) to force along one of the active axes. The pull thickness is maintained so it could be useful in multiple situations.

Thank you in advance for your feedback!

Good afternoon. I am having an issue when trying to access the plugin using the traditional OpenCutList icon. I have already updated to the latest version. When I click on each of the new plugin icons, the corresponding tools appear correctly. However, when I click on the traditional icon, no action is executed. I am not sure whether the way the program is used has changed with the new update or if this is an issue with my computer. I have already uninstalled and reinstalled SketchUp, and I have also uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin, but the problem persists.

Hello,

You have certainly connect your computer to a second screen and move the OpenCutList dialog on it the last time you run it.

In this case, just open the menu Extensions > OpenCutList and click on the Reset Window Position item.

This tools are amazing!

Thank you for this feedback @mebicad

Experiment # 7 : The Paneling Tool

Today, I suggest you to try the new Paneling Tool. This tool allows you to transform a solid geometry in a box, cabinet or what over you need!

You can easily define the panel thickness and joint type.
