DECAsteel plugin

You can ‘continue’ an existing grid / sequence by tapping the CTRL / OPTION key when using the grid tool. There should never be a need to use the native copy tool for managing grid lines.

Hello, how can I crop a profile into a corner, the profile builder can only crop from one side?,

Sorry I somehow missed this question until now.

With Profile Builder 4, you can easily trim a DECAsteel member against two faces.
Just hold SHIFT after selecting the first face to select the second face.

For detailed instructions, see this article in our Help Desk:

We’ve also been continuing to release more steel profile libraries including a Japan (JIS Standard) library and a Historical Imperial UK steel library.

Oh, and you can also now get the DECAsteel RBZ on the Extension Warehouse.

Hi there is there any update on this plugin? i.e what the future holds and pricing?

thanks

Thanks for your continued interest in DECAsteel! Have you been using it for real projects?

Right now, we are still in a phase where we are gauging interest and collecting feedback from our free Alpha version. No decisions have been made yet on pricing, but more updates are planned in 2026.

What do you think we should focus on for future updates?

Hi There, Do you have any running updates on this programme?

Are you up to speed with the industry CAD packages for structural work etc? Iv just read that AC advanced steel is in maintenance mode now or something?

Sorry, no news related to updates at this time. And no, I haven’t been keeping up with the latest news on developments in related software.

We did recently release this tutorial below. And we plan on doing a Part 2 soon.

I do aim to give it a good try, im trying to navigate a turn in my career into more structural. I’m possible about to start a masters in structural engineering also. Sounds like a silly question but do you use this in industry as as far as I’m aware Tekla is the usual software to use. Do you have any examples of successfully using Deca in industry also?
