Creating a roof for a bird table

Hi All,

I am struggling with creating a slanted roof for a bird house, not sire if the picture comes across below.
Basically I have a slanted roof, created a flat rectangle and need to “pull” the corner down to meet the slant on the roof. I can eyeball the rotation using the rotate feature but want it to snap onto the roof.

Any ideas?

If you’re using the Rotate tool, pick the corner at the peak for the center of rotation, click on the corner of the roof object, and rotate down to the edge of the gable.

Amazing thank you!!

To help achieve your goals, some time spent at the SketchUp Campus and at the SketchUp - YouTube channel will be very worthwhile. Both sites are from the SketchUp team. On the YouTube channel, pay attention to the Square One Series and Level UP series. They cover the basics for each tool.
