For school I’m making a sound design for a certain venue and I’m using sound vision. This program only accepts sketchup files.
The venue provided me with a 2D cad drawing and a vector works drawing. Is there a way that I can change the 2D Cad to a 3D sketchup file without getting a license?
It’s only one drawing so I’m hesitant to get another program subscription because they do add up after some time.
If it’s only a one-off, you could use a 30-day trial of SketchUp Pro for desktop without charge and use File/Import to bring the CAD drawing into SketchUp.
Or maybe some helpful person on this forum could convert one of the files for you.
Upload one or both of the files you have been given by the venue and see if someone can do the conversion.
If the file is too big to upload here, (bigger than about 15MB), upload it instead to a file sharing program like Dropbox, OneDrive or WeTransfer and share a link here.
