1950s Magazine Mailorder Plans | Live 3D Modeling in SketchUp

As the wise poet once said, “I get knocked down, but I get up again. You’re never gonna keep me down.” I believe one of the verses mentions livestreaming hardware, but I can’t seem to find it…

@TheOnlyAaron is going into the studio to deliver you a stream that’s smoove as can be.

Here are the updated links to YouTube, LinkedIn, & Facebook.

Maybr this was the issue… the computer I was trying to use basically WAS a bag of rice… or at least that useful…

Small tip:
I’m currently building 2 houses designed by an old school architect who still uses pen and paper (no CAD). Nothing wrong with the design or draughting but…
Whatever was used to scan the large format (A1) paper drawing to PDF made a hash of things, the X and Y have different scales! I’m guessing the page was fed through the scanner at a different rate to the head doing the scan in the opposite axis.

Luckily there were enough dims to partially manually draw the plans in SU and then scale the scans independently in the x and y to fit my lines.

Long story short, there are some room sizes on those plans, use them initially with some assumed wall thicknesses to get a basic width/depth of the house and then scale the image plan to suit.

If you had connected it to 220 volts, it would have run faster.

And at half the Amps!

And if you saw a smoke coming out, don’t worry, it’s just the thermal paste on your cpu have been activated and sometimes the lubricant used in the data pipelines to the memories

Well that went well guys. Nice session this time thanks for trying this one again it was good.

Unusually

Yes! Thanks! That was great!

The best thing was that I got to see @TheOnlyAaron use guides-actually, I’ll re-phrase that, “A single guide”. It didn’t last long!!!.:innocent:
