Why does the Sketchup geolocation create a different orientation than Google Earth, when previewed in Google Earth

There are two ways to geo-locate a SketchUp model.
True north in relation to the SU world axes will vary, depending upon which one you use.
It’s impossible to help you set things right unless you tell us in certain terms what you’re doing.

Which method of geo-location did you use?
• File > Geo-location >Add Location ?
• Window > Model Info > Advanced Settings > Set Manual Location ?

Aligning axes accurately with solar north direction

I used geolocation for my model and solar north is not aligned with original axes of the model. I don’t want to rotate the solar north because it will result in inaccurate shadows, so i tried to rotate the original axes to be aligned with the solar north, but i can’t snap the axes to the solar north, and i don’t know exactly the angle between them. is there is anything to deal with this???

MAC: Best practice to geolocate models and keep everything square in layout-

There must be a better way. What is best practice for geolocating your model? Typically, after starting my model at the origin square with Sketchup I use Geo-location, Add location. Then I place my model in the terrain rotating and raising or lowering the model group relative to the Google Earth layers, as needed. But then views like front, right, etcetera no longer work and in Layout everything is rotated in relation to the view ports. I can’t seem to figure out how to correctly locate my…
