I’m a retired software engineer with 35 years in GE/Lockheed Martin and other defense-related companies. I retired a couple of years ago and have been learning woodworking. I decided that SketchUp would be a worthwhile tool to help me design and build some cabinets, furniture, etc. The learning curve has been steep for me but the people on this forum have been great.
