I am a General Contractor in the Los Angles area, I use SU for designing odd parts of buildings to send to subs like my sheet metal man, welder etc., for figuring out what I am bidding on , or sketches to show clients what I am proposing.

I have tried drawing plans for submittal to building departments with layout, but wasn’t very successful, partly because of the learning curve of layout, and partly because I don’t have a library of detail sheets I can cut and paste into the plans per the local city requirements.
