Hello. I am a retired electrical engineer and have taken up woodworking to stay out from underfoot ( and out of trouble from my wife ). I grew up fascinated by my father’s cabinetry skills and loved watching/helping/hindering him in his shop. He’d done woodworking as a hobby as long as I can remember and when he retired from the Navy, he took it up full time, converting their two car garage into his shop, which we called the sawdust factory. He was quite accomplished and we now enjoy several pieces he made and had in their home.

Sadly he passed before I took up the hobby and I am unable to call upon him for help with my projects. But my goal is to get as good as he was.

Other interests include family, reading (mostly sci-fi and military fiction) and travel.

I am looking forward to future visits to these forums.
