I am an IT professional with a lifelong interest in green, sustainable technologies, especially tiny homes, small green homes, solar homesteads, permaculture, renewable energy system, and DIY design & engineering. Through our non-profit, www.greenequitybuilders.org, I am trying to develop an open source, DIY, panelized home construction system that is designed & developed using SketchUp. My wife & I will be constructing our first solar cabin model soon and placing it on some rural land that we own in the mountains of Virginia for real world testing of our system.
