Retired engineer living in Silverstone UK (yes, that Silverstone). I got into Sketchup when our charity’s builder, who was using a very old version of SU, couldn’t alter drawings he’d produced to meet the needs of the local planning authority, so I got a Pro license and set to to learn.

As an engineer, I loved engineering drawing during my training in the late 60s/early 70s, so it’s a revelation to be able to get right up to date with a superb system like Sketchup.

I’m also beginning my learning curve in 3D printing, and the ability to draw components, then print them, is very exciting.
