I am an Australian architect by academic qualification and more than 30 years of active experience in Australian and SE Asia. After 16 years based in Vietnam I have returned to Australia and happily resuming my architectural design practice - my first passion - designing either new houses and/or renovations for real families.
As an architect i have always communicated with my Clients in 3D, I’m pretty good with pencil in hand but I confess, Sketchup is fantastic. I like that Skp retains the “technical” look, it keeps the architectural modeling without descending into the fully rendered “artists impression”.
Layout? I still struggle to produce technical drawings in a timely fashion.
