I am a semi-retired Architectural Consultant who has been using Sketchup versions since it first became available
At first I was just experiminting with various 3D programms and use AutoCad extensivly but it became clear that for 3D presentation work Sketchup was the clear Winner and I have recently been using SU Make 2014 extensivly
Recently I had a major computer failure and had to reload everything in a new self-build system and my operating system of choice is Win XP Pro of which I have no intention of upgrading
Also I use a Genius Tablet and Puck for AutoCad and it does not work with newer versions of Windows
After the complete reload of my OS and programmes came he time to download SU Make 2014
I just could not find it anywhere on the web so I resorted to installing a copy of SU Pro 2014 which was an evaluation version
Nearing the time for the expiry I contacted SU for a quote for a license - The shock only to be told that I could not get a license unless I purchased a license for SU 2016 which was a whopping £465.00 [way beyond my means] and I felt it totally unfair and a type of blackmail to get a license for an out of date version
Searching the net on my Samsung Tablet I came across the Sketchup Community Forum with a link to download SU Make 2014
After some deep searching I found it on my PC and joined the Community and downloaded SU Make 2014 without any problems whatsoever
Sincerest Thanks to the SU Community for making this extremely good SU Make 2014 version available for like me Many, Many users who still use Win XP and Don't / Want to Upgrade would be really "Up the Creek without a Paddle"
SU Make 2014 is a SUPERB Version and I nowadays consider myself a really experienced and adept user
I will continue to log into the SU Forum from now on - A superb space for advice and comment
