Professionally trained, self educated Architect. My projects include a Boathouse in the desert, mountain cabins, complex historic renovations, and commercial office spaces. I’ve used SketchUp for approx. 15 years and am an advanced user. My workflow utilizes primitive native functions of SketchUp and Layout (No extensions or Ruby Scripts). I’m of the opinion there are no shortcuts, so draw faster! And do it nice or you’ll do it thrice. I don’t believe in ~ dimensions in my models. My Construction Drawing sets are all completed using SketchUp and Layout and is based on Nick Sonders Workflow with my own templates and adaptations. SketchUp has unlocked the world of architecture to me, and is a gift I hope to share with anyone who’s interested.
