I am a Certified Architectural Drafter living in Arlington Texas but I work in Mansfield Texas approximately 20.6 miles from my home. I work at Millwork Solutions - we use Sketchup & Layout on a dailey bases by converting the finished SketchUp (SKP) drawing to a .dxf file so the CNC machine can read our drawings and cut out our cut-list. After this, my portion of the design is done, but the finished product is cut into custom cabinets for commercial buildings like “Carter Rehab Center”, Edwards Ranch Medical Hospital", “Dallas Fort Worth Airport Capital-One Lounge” and the list goes on and on. I love my job and have now branch my job into my career. SketchUp and I have had a long journey together (from 2006 to the present) with design work. We will have an exciting time getting to my 2nd retirement together!
