At the age of 70 I’m now retired from boring stuff and want to have some fun designing buildings. From a young age I’ve wanted to be an architect. The closest I’ve got so far is restoring a Victorian cottage located in Norfolk, England. It was in very poor condition and among other things, it taught me all about the wonders of lime, as used by the Romans as a great building material that has stood the test of time over the last two thousand years. I taught myself SketchUp to complete exercises for an online architectural course. I’m currently occupied in learning more about creating sustainable buildings.
