SketchUp make 2017 geolocating

This isn’t a new thing at all. It’s been years since terrain and imagery was available in SketchUp 2017. It was announced in early 2017.

Upcoming Change to Add Location

Hey all you SketchUppers We have a pretty big announcement coming down the pike that we feel you’ll appreciate knowing about sooner than later so you can plan accordingly. Specifically, we’re moving away from the Google provided geographic data. This has important implications for both satellite imagery and terrain features for some versions of SketchUp. You might be able to find a survey image and trace contours to make the terrain. Otherwise you need SketchUp Pro.
