Copy and pasting component attributes?

Is there any way to quickly replace one component with another without using the component manager? Im thinking like how the paint bucket tool can sample colours using the alt key but then being able to paste that info on to another component to switch it to be the same as the sampled one using a shortcut key. Going through the component manager is a nightmare if you have imported cad drawings as it lists blocks as components so you can end up with 1000’s and also I rarely name components so it just takes too long to track down the correct one.
