I want to import a drawing file that is in PDF format and want the highest resolution I can get. The PDF looks fine and detailed in Acrobat but is pretty fuzzy when imported into SU. I can use Acrobat to convert to other file formats but I am not sure that helps.
Does anyone know the best way to do this?
If it is a vector-based PDF (with clean lines however much you zoom in in Acrobat) you could try converting it into DWG or DXF from an illustration application like Illustrator, Corel Draw or Inkscape and importing that into SketchUp Pro, or via a plugin, the DXF into Make.

You are a wonder, sir! Illustrator has to be bought and I would only rarely use it. But Inkscape is free and has done the trick. It exports to DXF which SU can obviously handle.
