Why can’t the Windows version of SketchUp use the environment and material parameter adjustment?

sketchup, on both PC and Mac requires the new engine to access all the new tools that depends on it.
if it doesn’t work on your machine right now, it means you’re using the old engine. you can change that in preferences / graphics.
but if the new engine causes your sketchup to crash, it likely means that your GPU isn’t cutting it.
I’m also confused by your question and the fact you have tagged it Mac.
