Why is the key command "select all connected gone" arghhhhhh

I have just upgraded to SU24 and the key command for select all connected is not available, is there any reason why this was removed?…. tripple clicking with my pen tablet is hit and miss, why would a key command for this be removed from the list surely the more the better so leave it in?….. I use this ALL THE TIME and its getting really frustrating.

Why are you just upgrading to SketchUp 2024 now? In any case, please update your forum profile. It’s way out of date.

By default there isn’t a keyboard shortcut for Select>All Connected. Since the command is in the Context menu, select an entity (face or edge) and then go into the Shortcuts and set a keyboard shortcut for it.

Thanks DaveR got it now… I am using 24 because I have a client who is sending me lots of work in 24. I had 25 installed but every time I opened their file forgetting it was opening by default in 25 I would send it back and they could not open it so just took off 25 to save any problems.

Since SketchUp 2021 the file types are agnostic as far as SketchUp version. Your client will be able to open SketchUp 2025 or even SketchUp 2026 files in SketchUp 2024. They will get a warning message indicating that some features may not translate but the file will open. Primarily this will affect the display of Photo Real Textures which aren’t available in SketchUp 2024.

Please correct your forum profile.
