Two views of the building I am modeling. SU uses different colors for windows, sections of walls - why is this?

Front vs back sides of faces
The blue indicates that the back side of those faces are exposed. Faces have a front and back. When your model is 3D you should only see white front faces. You can right click on the blue ones and choose Reverse Faces.
