Why does a PDF file have a colored frame?

LO 2024

without opening your file it’s hard to say. two things comes to my mind :

  • your background in sketchup isn’t white. not completely. and/or you didn’t remove background in layout
  • your section plans are visible (in SU) ?

if it’s not that, can you share your file please ?

Is that what it looks like in LO or in the PDF export?

What are your settings for working and output quality? File>Document Setup>Rendering

LayOut 2024.layout (774.3 KB)
LayOut 2024.pdf (136.3 KB)

SU 2024.skp (1.0 MB)

The background in your SKP style is not white…

Edit the style, change to white:

Be sure to update, then save the SKP file and update in LO

Thanks for your help.

No problem.
Please check the proper post for the solution.

Nailed it.

when I need white I always switch to RGB and push to 255.
the wheel is nice and all, but it’s the best way to go off white.

been there. done that. emptied a black cartridge printing light gray backgrounds.

FWIW, the description of the style tells you there’s a gray background.
