Where are the rulers in Layout?
Text > show rulers
On Mac Text>Show Rulers works. Not on Windows. There aren’t any rulers.
Thanks Fix but not in my version 20.2.172 64-bit
Apologies @Locis, I mistakenly assumed this aspect of the interface was the same cross platform. It’s not. I trust @DaveR if he says they are not available on windows.
Edit: You could still set up a snap to grid in increments of your choice, would that help?
I suspect this is one of those things that comes from the OS like the crayons in the Colors window in SU on Mac.
I don’t see it having to do with a function of the OS. Is there some built in Windows “ruler”? But seems to be something not available in any case.
Crayons-- how appropriate for the Mac stereotype.
There are a number of operating system things that both SketchUp and LayOut leverage differently on Mac and Windows. Importing PDFs on Mac but not Windows, the appearance of the Materials window is different between the two because the Mac version comes from the OS. The same with the rulers.
I know there are rulers in other Mac software. I guess in this case there was something readily available in Windows. I never saw a use for rulers, and hide them when I can.
