When I start Sketchup, it opens and then just hangs with a blank screeen. Whether I start the app first or double click on a file, same thing. It starts to load, then just hangs indefinitely. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program. I tried searching online, and found that I should update my graphics card driver, which I did. The machine has been started several times in the course of all of this. Can’t get it to load. Can’t use it. See attached image of what it looks like.
I’ve been using the program somewhat regularly with no issues. This is just out of the blue. No changes to hardware or software. Just stopped working…
Typically this seems to happen with active ad blockers or popup blockers. There have been other threads on this topic and those have been identified as the culprit.
Then not a Classic license. Please update your forum profile.
You could check to make sure.
Try repairing the SketchUp installation. Find the downloaded installer in your Downloads folder. Right click on it. Choose Run as administrator. When Prompted, choose Repair. After it complete do a power off reboot. Then try to open SketchUp again.
Maybe an automatic windows update? They are notorious for installing bad graphics drivers, although I’m not convinced that this is due to a bad driver..
But you never know. First thing when troubleshooting an error is to look for what has changed.
