Hi everyone,
I’m working on a project that includes a perforated sheet with a large number of evenly spaced holes. Modeling every hole individually makes the SketchUp file much heavier and affects overall performance, especially in larger assemblies.
I’m wondering how other SketchUp users approach this. Do you create the complete perforation pattern, use components, or rely on textures or plugins to represent the holes during the design stage?
I’d also appreciate recommendations for any plugins or workflows that help create accurate perforated sheet models while keeping the file lightweight and easy to edit.
Looking forward to your suggestions. Thanks!
