What is the difference between SketchUp and SketchUp plug-in?

Hello guys,

I would kindly ask for some help.

What is the difference between SketchUp and SketchUp plug-in?
I mean, I really don’t understand these 2 sentences:

  1. If you make changes and save them in the OpenStudio application, be sure to RELOAD the model in the SketchUp Plug-in before you make any changes in SketchUp.

How do I reload it? Does it mean that if I make some changes in OpenStudio I should save for example as test123.osm and same with sketchup plug-in test123.skp?

  1. You should also RELOAD the model in the OpenStudio application if you have made additional changes in SketchUp.

How do I reload it here?

Thanks in advance,
AZ

Open Studio has an extension that runs on top of SketchUp. sketchUp is responsible for the creation and editing of the 3D model that Open Studio uses.

As we don’t really know much about Open Studio, your questions are probably best asked of them (though it is possible that another Open Studio user may come along here and help out).

The same as the difference between a smartphone and an app, or Windows/Mac and SketchUp itself.
