So I have around 500 Dollars to spend on a new laptop I want to upgrade from my school provided Chromebook, What laptop should I buy for architecture cading and maybe some light rendering.

start looking for a 2-hand Game refurbished laptop preferably with an NVIDIA graphic card.
Asus has some with AMD Ryzen with MX 250 nvidia. (new)
You want a high-clocked (not too old gen) processor and minimum 8 GB ram (or at least upgradable)
