Warnings or Announcements for Discourse Feature Rollouts?

Is there a Discourse blog or list-serve that will announce these things ?

I am surprised that it is not yet built in. Ie, sam and friends should have some announcement dissemination capability, so that admins and sages etc on all the various Discourse sites, will be aware of these rollouts.

Making poeple join the Discourse Meta forum should not be required.
