Visual artifact of hidden edges

Hello Community,

In SketchUp Web, I created 2 simple boxes (all loose geometry), and placed them touching each other. Now if I hide the adjacent edges, I see some visual artifact, where i was expecting to see a seamless surface.

Also in iPad app, the same artifact occurs.

Any idea why it’s happening?

It’s an artifact from the internal face. Delete it and that will go away.

You shouldn’t have any internal faces in your models anyway.

I knew that i must be missing something obvious..
