VFB strange since update

Hi there, I recently updated vray and now my VFB shows up like this when rendering, rather than a clear (but pixelated view) - anyone have this issue? Looks like a watercolour or something

Cheers, Nick

Someone asked the same question on chaos forum, and the solution is that, there is a checkbox under the denoiser settings on the right says “light cache denoise”, disable it and it will behave the old way..

I have now updated V-Ray (7.30) and it renders normally. What settings do you have? Which ones did you change? What layers did you add in VFB? Have you tried resetting to factory settings? What result do you get?

Hi there Mihai, in relation to settings I haven’t changed anything from what I usually use and have been for years - see attached. How do you restore to factory settings. I have attached the version of Vray I updated to also, maybe I could get an earlier version as it was not doing it prior to this?

Many Thanks,

Nick

Try with Progressive and Denoiser off.

Thanks very much - will give it a try! Cheers, Nick

The image hasn’t finished rendering and the denoiser layer is presumbly from a low pass version of that render.

If you want to share the SKP file, we can check it over here.

The fact that image has done 368 passes is a bit suspicious something else isn’t right here.

Thanks heaps, resetting the settings and plug them back in from scratch did the trick! Thanks Guys!

I’d just reset the settings and reset your resolution and save location - just use the quality slider in future - that changes the key parameters.

Perfect thank you!
