Veil over half the scene

In a couple of scenes, SECTION_2 & 3, there seems to be what looks like a veil over the top half. I have attached the file for your review. I don’t understand why it’s happening. Any help or suggestions to prevent would be appreciated

You have the camera slightly below the ground plane, you have the ground plane turned on, and you have the ground plane set to be displayed in the style. At the very least, turn off Show groud from below and update the style.

Unrelated question: Why are your model axes set the way they are?

Solid blue should point upward.

BTW, I see that you have the model placed at a long distance from the origin. This can create graphical issues especially in LayOut or in image exports. Here I’ve reset the axes and you can see how the model is placed relative to the origin.

You should move the model to the origin to prevent those graphical issues and then update the camera position for each scene.

Thanks DaveR. I have reset the axis’s in the time i posted this query. I recall you have to save each scene separately. I think there is a plugin or setting that can update them all collectively.
Regardless thankyou for troubleshooting so quickly I wish I had your brain!

You don’t need a plugin to do that. Reset the axes in one scene and then, in the Scenes panel, select all of the scenes, click on the Update button at the top left and untick all but Axes Location and click Update.

You should still move the model to the origin and update the camera positions for each scene.

While updating your scenes, I would suggest that you set up the similar scenes with the same camera position. For example in your model now you have different camera positions for each of the plan views.

If you set them all with the same camera position, the viewports in LayOut will be easier to manage and any images you export will look more consistent.

I understand what you’re saying, but I find the process very tricky. If it’s not done precisely, it has catastrophic results! However, I’m going to keep trying, as I can see the benefits.

Could you provide a step-by-step (idiot’s) guide, please?

So select the scene you want all the others to match in terms of position (camera location) and then highlight all scenes required to be matched, right click and select update. Then check the relevant properties i.e camera location and axes location then click update?

Yes. That’s it. I just finished fixing your model. I updated the axes for all scenes in one step, then went through and fixed the Camera position for the scenes in a separate pass just to make it easier to keep things straight. For the elevation sections the section planes had to be moved but those don’t require a scene update.
