when uploading a model to trimble connect and viewing it in the browser i found that there is a issue with the UV orientation of the textures?! also not all but it clearly a mapping issue!?
is this known?
is there a way to prevent this from user side?
where can i file a bug report for trimble connect?
Its a bug that happens when JPG images are imported and ‘wrapped’ onto images.
I know of one workaround:
Go into sketchup and select the texture, then right click and choose “Make Unique Texture”
This wont change SketchUp positioning but should fix it in TC.
But it will create a 2nd copy of your material within sketchup…so if you update/manage them, it could take more time in future.
Im not sure how this would work for large textures set onto terrain like in your example - you’d have to make them all unique. One way of doing that is to export the SKP model to a different format, then reimport it. Try OBJ or DAE.
