I have a 64 bit system but when installing SU2018 my windows installer defaults to a 32 bit installer. This locks up everything. Can anyone send me a link and some advice about how to either find the 64 bit installer on my machine or download one?

When you try to install sketchup, are you right clicking on the installer and selecting Run as administrator?
Make sure you’re choosing the correct version of the downloaded files perhaps?
believe 2018 version is only 64 bit now, so you may be accidentally installing an older, 32bit version of SU without realizing it. Whatever version you download, whether 2016, 2017, 2018, they all download with the same filename.

It is an installer issue on my end. My next door neighbor is a tech guy and he is going to come over and help me find and install a 64 bit installer and give the installation another try
