Updated to 2025 about a month ago; was having some performance issues with layout. Took forever (many minutes) to update reference files and rendering viewports. I got the situation resolved until today when I installed the new release. Now when I need to update reference files (sketchup) in layout, the update finishes but all my viewports are empty. I changed a setting on preferences having to do with the graphics engine ran update again on a copy I’d saved. It has been updateing for 35 minutes (circle rotating). I rebooted my computer. Can I revert to the previous release i was using. I have work to do. It is shameful thar Sketchup cannot get it right.
How do I save a sketchup 2025 job back to a 2022 sketchup version. I recall being able to do so in previous versions. I would like to go back to 2022 and get my work done.
Just save the file and then open it in SketchUp 2022. You’ll lse any features you might have used such as Ambient Occlusion since SU2022 doesn’t support that but otherwise It’ll open your model.
