I am trying to save a site model I downloaded from cadmapper.com to hard drive, but I get the following message when I try to open the file after it is downloaded:
“You will not be able to load this file in a previous version of SketchUp if you save it in SketchUp2022.”
Can anyone help me with this problem? Whenever I try to save it, the next time I go on my computer, it has disappeared. I spent a while looking for help online and haven’t found any solutions. PLEASE HELP!!!
It’s not a problem. A file is already loaded. It is an information that the specific file you opened is a version 15. 01 file.
Then it’s warn you, if you’re saving it to this version (2022) of the Sketchup, you’ll not be able to open in that earlier version of Sketchup.
If you not intend to use earlier Sketchup version, just accept a message by clicking on OK button…
Anyway you can Save as earlier version if you want.
I extract the contents of the zip folder into a folder on my hard drive, then i open up the sketchup file and the message that is on the image that i attached pops up. If i attempt to save the file in any way, after i shut down sketchup and restart my laptop, the file is not in the folder that it was saved in. I even saved it in a folder that contained some other sketchup files from a few months ago, and they have now also disappeared.
After i then go to try and delete my now empty folder, i get this error message…
Im very confused. The initial message that i get when i load the downloaded file into sketchup is that it cannot be loaded in earlier versions if i save it in sketchup 2022, but im not even trying to open it in an earlier version. The version i use is sketchup pro 2022.
Maybe i am just missing something, but i really need some help, thats why i came to here…
