Unable to do simple things in Sketchup Free

I’m starting out with the Web free version of SketchUp but I haven’t found a way to do several things:

  1. How can I add raw text to a drawing, things like “TOP VIEW,” or “Water Meter, must provide access.” ?
  2. How can I keep axes from printing?
  3. How can I revert to a previous SAVE.
  4. How can I set the color and thickness of lines drawn with the LINE tool?

Thank you very much for any help.

  1. You can add Screen text and Labels with the text tool.

  2. Turn them off in Display.

  3. Use Save as when you save so that you don’t overwrite the previous version. Same as with any desktop software.

  4. In the free version there is no option to edit the style. You need Shop or a desktop version for that. The only “line thickness” control in SketchUp is for Profile edges. Non-profile edges are always the same thickness. In order to control lineweight otherwise that can be done in LayOut which is part of the SketchUp Pro package.

Thanks.

Re #3, you can also use Revision History, which can be found by clicking the 3 dot menu for the file on the homescreen.
