rendering my model in twilight render, SPECKS are showing up over much of the finished rendering.
What are the settings you’re using in Twilight?
What happens if you set the size to something like 2000 wide?
What are the preset settings?
I’m trying a variety of settings. Right now I’m using 6400 x 4800. Im watching the progress. Seems like the specs show up around 7-8 hours in the rendering process, so I’m waiting to seen when resolution is good enough to stop the rendering before the specks show up.
Long time Twilight user. With out seeing the model it’s all just wild guesses. May well be the size you’re rendering at. Curious why you find it necessary to render that big of an image. Rarely have I had a need to render above 2000 pix wide.
sometimes my renderings are put on a billboard. That’s the reason for large files. However, doing a smaller rendering had larger specks!
O.K. Billboards. Curiosity satisfied. Only real way to try and figure out what’s going on would to be able to check the model. That would include all the texture setups on the Twilight side of things. Are you just seeing these anomalies in this model or is it an issue with other models also ?
Billboards are typically printed at quite a low resolution, 30 PPI is common, as they are usually viewed from quite far away.
Anssi, I’m aware of the general sizes suitable for various printing applications. Was curious why skipm felt the need to render at that size. The only real way to figure out the issue is to be able to go through the model and check everything. That would include textures that were used, how they are set up in Twilight’s material editor. The Twilight environment settings. Also if there is any issues in the model itself that might contribute to the problem.
Sorry - I quoted your post but actually my comment was addressed to skip.
Anssi, sorry if I sounded a bit harsh. Thought you were talking to me.
Mulling over the image you posted brings a question to mind. Is the background image a spherical hdr/hdri ? If it is that might be the problem. Twilight advised against using hdri images with Easy8 render setting as they don’t play well together.
My customer (the architect prefers as high def as possible.
I thin HIS customer has it printer on about a 3-4 foot wide panel.
the architect has the rendering printed on about 3-4 foot panel
I think.
I think we understand your reasoning for rendering at such a large image size. Now to try and dig down to reasons for your problem.
I wouldn’t rule out there might be issues with your environment settings, material setups and possibly problems in the model itself. All guess work without examining the file itself.
