Pulled out an old model from 2018. Did some tuning and ran a render. Set up depth of field on this one. ![]()
Was messing about with FreoScale and SubD back in 2017. Was practicing twisting rings around. Went in and copied out one of the rings. Here’s the result. Also posting an image of the proxy. ![]()
Something a little different. Mid century modern room divider panel. A little tedious. Reference pic wasn’t the best. Made me scratch my head a time or two.

Have a fun render in mind. Have to model up a bunch of auto shop stuff. Engine hoist, the first of many parts. ![]()
Took a break for some fun stuff. Three components. Drew the path for the upper “twist” directly on the globe with Fredo’s Tools on Surface. Spent the most time playing with Twilight’s Deep Material Editor to get the effect on the globe. ![]()
Cool collection!
Thanks Mr Dave. Need to model a different set of casters for the tool box though. ![]()
Make sure they aren’t those soft ones that develop flat spots from sitting in one place too long. ![]()
Don’t you hate when that happens.
Need to put non swivel brackets on the front wheels.
Indeed! Years ago I built a large lumber cart for my shop and used soft casters that I’d gotten for free. It was really nice and quiet the first couple of times I moved it. After being loaded with 400 or 500 lbs of lumber and sitting for a few months it was practically impossible for me to get it moving when I needed to shift it to get to the large oak or maple boards on the back.
Non swivel on the handle end of the cart?
I’ve always put the swiveling wheels on the handle end.
Proof that I sometimes model furniture that is not mid century modern style. Needed this for a recent project. Inspiration was a piece on the “1st dibs” website. It’s a good place to find reference for all types of furniture. ![]()
Very nice work.
You’re right about 1st Dibs. I’ve modeled a lot of furniture based on pieces from there.
Thanks Mr. Dave ![]()
I didn’t know that website, it’s truly a source of inspiration !
Would pull this model off the shelf when the mood would strike me. Finally got it to a point to run a render. Still rendering with Twilight V2,and post pro in Affinity Photo. ![]()
Cool!
