Toolbox design - making its door better

This is a toolbox for the end of the pickup truck. How do I design the door better?

Better than what? I don’t see a door.

At the top I want to design one in two pieces, but I would love to know the comment…

Can you share a picture of a real one to understand it better? I’m sorry but I still don’t know what door you mean.

I see pictures like this one in google:

Something like this is what I can imagine, but it’s probably not what you’re asking for:

In English a ‘Door’ is usually a vertical, hinged thing - e.g. in a hole in a wall that’s between two rooms or opens into a building.
A ‘Trap-Door’ is a horizontal hinged thing - e.g. an access into a roof-space or an under-floor space.

I think that perhaps you mean a ‘Lid’ - i.e. something which fits on the top of a container to seal it - e.g. a box.
Your example seems to have two openings in its top; do you want ‘Lids’ on those ?
Are these Lids ‘hinged’ or ‘lift-off’ ?
Do they fit over the rims of the holes, or into the holes ?

I think this is what he means 2019-05-05_8-13-37
