Looking at this today, I decided to redo it. I rotated the sides 180 degrees, made a tool rest platform and trimmed down the sides so that the sides won’t get in the way when I’m sharpening a chisel or a handplane blade. The unexploded tool rest is below at the origin (in the skp file).

You better tighten those nuts or else it will slide down…
