The Turtle Temple

Here finally, are a couple of pics of our [99%] finished home, that I modelled five years ago now. It’s been a long haul, moving from those first seminal SketchUp models, to LayOut drawings for the engineer, to our final building inspection a week ago. What a happy day!! We’re planning on moving in next Friday.

I reached out to the SketchUp community at the very beginning, when I first purchased my SU license, requesting tutoring. John McClenahan, from England, offered his services to get things started. John was an active member of SU. Many of you here will have known him, and more than likely will also know that he passed away this past year. John visited us here in Maritime Canada a couple of times on his annual trips to North America. He never did get to see the finished project, but his SU help and genuine interest in our project will always be a happy memory. May his memory live on within all here who knew him.

Very nice. I’m glad to see some photos of your project.

Hi Dave… and a big thanks for your sage advice as well. You helped me with a few technical questions along the way.

It looks amazing! Congratulations.

I had a few interactions with John over the years. He was a very helpful and humble man.

Crazy fun!!! Love it!

Congratulations! Very cool!
