# Text Tool - in 2024

Hey - seem to be struggling with adding text in 2024. i have a ‘boneyard’ and just trying to label some items.The text just disappears after typing it in… cant remember having an issue with it before? Anyone else seen this? DIdnt see anything about it on the forum…

What are you doing after typing the text? Here I’m clicking in space away from the text to finish the label.

Ah, yeah. That doesn’t finish the operation of creating the text. Same aswith other tools. If, for example, you start moving an object but don’t click to finalize the move (or type in the distance and press Enter) and then just hit the Spacebar to switch to the Select tool, the move is canceled.

Yeah its obvious that now i see it! oopsie… every day is a school day 🙂
