I have double and triple checked the assignments and colors… for some reason the tag colors (when toggled) are only applied correctly to about 70% of all the items.
For instance: I have different shades of brown for graded and non-graded wooden planks. In the beginning I had the same darker color on all of the planks, but I have since started applying a lighter color to the wooden elements that are not graded.
…but this only works on about 70% of all the non-graded planks that I add to the light brown color tag… (the other 30% still shows the darker brown color , even though they are in the light brown color group).
I have tried restarting Sketchup multiple times, but to no avail… has anyone else experienced this?
If you want to practice without plugins, try this:
1 - Make certain that the whole model is visible. You can use Zoom Extend, for example.
2 - Open the Outliner Window.
3 - Select all groups and components (click on the first one then Shift-click on the last one.
4 - Click out of the Outliner Window.
5 - Press the Space Bar to activate the Select Tool.
6 - Press and hold down the Shift Key to Add/Subtract from the selection.
7 - While still holding the Shift Key down, do a Window Select to select the whole model. The already selected groups and components are unselected. Only raw geometry remains selected.
