Has anyone got any new ideas why SketchUp has been crashing so frequently lately?
Everything is up to date—I’ve updated all my plugins, graphics drivers, Windows, and anything else I could think of.
It doesn’t seem to matter whether I’m working on a small or large model. I can work for hours without an issue, or it can crash after just a few minutes. What’s strange is that I don’t even get the usual bug report pop-up anymore. Over the last few weeks, SketchUp has simply been closing without any warning.
Has anyone else experienced this or found a solution?
I did install correctly SU. File saved on my desktop and server, does not matter as they both crash (same file saved in both places to confirm that the same thing happens independently of where they are)
Extensions: attached screenshot. Nothing too complicated, only D5, Face Up and Solar North as addition to the default ones I believe.
on mac, migrate extension caused issues after the migration (but that was some time ago).
+1 for D5, especially since D5 lite (real time rendering) is still a beta. and you probably don’t need trimble connect visualizer since you use D5.
it might help to disable them, and only turn them on when you need to work with them (I have vray, enscape and thearender installed, but they’re off by default)
