Every time I try to view “IN MODEL” components in the component window Sketchup crashes. Shadows and textures are turned off. It doesn’t matter if I turn off all layers except the layer with the components, it’ll still crash.

Go Window/Model info/statistics and click the Purge unused button.
Then try again.
Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, it still crashes. With all layers, shadows and textures off, it still crashes when I try to view In Model components. Before following your instructions, file size was around 57mb. After purging, 36mb. Since it’s only crashing when I hit this one button, and there is a way to remove unused items, I guess I’ll consider myself lucky it’s only crashing in this one particular way.

try if copying and pasting to a new document helps.
